
Morning walks 6:30 – 8:30
Tuesday 28 November – Oxley Creek Common. One of the best birding spots in Brisbane, with over 185 species recorded. Good for water and grassland birds. To be led by David Niland (Birds Queensland).
Wednesday 29 November – Sandy Camp Road Wetlands. A wetland reserve with a host of water birds. To be led by Callan Alexander (BirdLife Southern Qld).
Thursday 30 November – Two options available, City Botanic Gardens offers an easy morning walk close to conference center. To be led by Andrew Thelander (Birds Queensland).
Slightly further afield, the heritage listed Arboretum offer over 170 species of birds thanks to its well-protected wetlands, a wonderful tree collection and the Brisbane River right at the front door. To be led by Hugh Possingham.
Friday 1 December – Eagleby birding and breakfast tour. To be led by Rodney Appleby (BirdLife Southern Qld).
