Brisbane, home of the Yuggera and Turrbal people, is the capital of Queensland, Australia’s Sunshine State. Brisbane has a large and growing cultural precinct located in South Bank. Here you can visit the Queensland Art Gallery and Gallery of Modern Art (QAGOMA), the Queensland Museum with an extensive Natural History collection, the Queensland Performing Art Centre, the State Library of Queensland and the Queensland Maritime Museum. South Bank also offers diverse dining options and fun activities for kids (click here for some ideas). There are also a number of National Parks a short drive from Brisbane, including the Lamington and Tamborine National Parks, as well as easy access to the Sunshine and Gold Coast, and the Great Barrier Reef.

Brisbane has great weather for most of the year, but both temperature and humidity will be on the rise in November, and always be prepared for some rain at that time of year.
